Manassas rides for charity

Many Manassas cyclists will be heading for Farm Brewery at Broad Run’s 6th Annual Warrior Ride in early September.

All proceeds from the ride will benefit the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run, an organization that aids in the recovery of disabled veterans and injured, wounded, and unwell servicemembers.

The 13-mile Honor the Flag ride, the 30-mile Half Metric Road ride, and the 58-mile Metric Century Road Ride cost $75 each. The 38-mile Gravel Route taking riders on a Bull Run Mountains double loop course will also be $75. Non-participants may sponsor a Warrior Rider for $75.

Meal tickets are included in the rider package and may be purchased for $15 for non-riders. T-Shirts sporting this year’s graphic design will be part of the rider swag and can be purchased for $15 on event day by non-riders.

Check-in for the metric route and breakfast begins at 6:30 am and bikes begin to line up at 7:15 am. Riders for the metric route will leave at 7:45 am after the opening ceremonies at 7:30 am. Half Metric riders begin lining up at 8:30 am and will depart at 9:00 am. Riders for the Honor the Flag route will begin lining up at 9:30 am and will leave at 10:05 am. A BBQ lunch will begin at 11:30 am.

The 6th Annual Warrior Ride will take place at The Farm Brewery at Broad Run, 16015 John Marshal Highway on September 9.
