Manassas revelers get ready for fall jubilee

Historic Downtown Manassas is all set for its 35th Annual Manassas Fall Jubilee, which will be coming in early October.

Over 100 booths will be on the venue. Some will house crafters who will be selling their creations. Community organizations will be manning other booths, while nonprofits will be passing out Flyers and Brochures explaining their causes and missions. Local merchants will be selling their services and products, distributing coupons and Promotional Products, and some may be giving out free samples.

Guests will be greeted with entertainment and live music, and kids can pick out their own pumpkins for Halloween.

Amateur bakers are invited to enter the Pumpkin Pie Baking Contest. They will be required to bring one pie of nine inches in diameter and a copy of the recipe.

Those who would rather eat pie than bake it can join in the Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest. This contest will have two divisions – one for pie eaters from the age of 5 to 17, and the other for connoisseurs ages 18 and above. Kids will only have to eat half a pie while the adults will have to wolf down a whole one. The winner will be the one who finishes his or her portion first. Prizes will be awarded in both contests.

The Fall Jubilee will be coming to Historic Downtown Manassas on October 7 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Admission will be free.
