Historic Manassas will be hosting the 23rd Annual Heritage Railway Festival early in June. The event will be a celebration of our area’s rich railroad history.
The event will feature train-themed specialty vendors, crafters, nonprofit organizations, train memorabilia exhibitors, and independent consultants. There will be food vendors on the site, too. Musicians playing Country and Blue Grass will be the live entertainment for the afternoon. Local model train groups will be setting up their miniature train displays in the Harris Pavilion.
Train aficionados will be able to take train excursions to Clifton and back. Paw Patrol’s Chase will be on the first two train rides, and Princess Belle will be on the last two.
Tickets will be available at the train depot daily from now until and including the day of the event for $5, or $6 if using credit cards. They will also be available online for $6.
This will be a good week for local printing services or printing companies to get a Center Street Banner put up on Center Street. Applications are available online.
The event will be Saturday, June 3 from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm in Downtown Manassas in the Church Street and Center Street area. A scenic train excursion will be leaving the Manassas Train Depot, 9431 West Street, Manassas starting at 10:00 am and leaving on the hour until 1:00 pm.
