Manassas readies for fall festival

Historic Manassas will be celebrating its 38th Annual Fall Jubilee in October.

The day-long event will feature over 100 crafters and community organizations representatives offering information and original arts and crafts for purchase.

Many people who attend these events often collect artists’ and crafters’ Business Cards so they can contact them later for more merchandise or for custom-made items.

Community organizations that man booths at events such as this one often like to get their brochure printing done early so they will have information ready to go when they first set up.

Live entertainment and music will be provided by local bands, vocalists, dance groups like clogging, Irish, ballet and modern dance and other performances such as dog shows and martial arts demonstrations. The performances will be at the intersection of Main and Church streets at Stage A, and the Train Depot Parking Lot at Stage B.

Both kids and adults can enjoy the games and activities. Some in the planning stages are a pumpkin pie baking and pumpkin pie eating contests. Gold, Silver, Bronze and Friends of the Festival sponsorships are still available.

The 38th Annual Manassas Fall Jubilee is scheduled for October 3rd at and around 9201 Center Street and will run from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Admission will be free.

If the weather becomes a factor the rain date will be October 10th.
