Manassas plans St. Patricks Day celebrations

Manassas will be holding its annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on the second Saturday in March.

The one-hour family-friendly celebration will be a display of the city’s Irish Pride, with Irish dance teams, City of Alexandria and other Pipes and Drums corps, and local businesses and other organizations planning to join in with the festivities.

The parade route will begin in Old Town Manassas at the intersection of Prescott Avenue and Quarry Road; it will then turn right onto Center Street and end a little passed West Street at the Harris Pavilion. The reviewing stand will be set up at West and Center Streets. Families wishing to take pictures of videos must take them at designated locations along the route.

Yellow-vested parade marshals will be doing crowd control and helping parade participants. On the day itself, the Parade Committee will pass out assignments at the pre-parade breakfast.

Business card ($75), quarter page ($90), half page ($150) and full page ($300) advertisements in the event booklet are available for purchase. Each sponsor at the General Parade ($375), Pipe Band ($500), and Chief ($1000) levels are required to get their Logo Design to the event organizers before any parade poster printing gets underway.

The 2024 Greater Manassas St. Patrick's Day Parade has been scheduled for Saturday, March 9 beginning at 11:00am and ending around noon. The parade will take place come rain or shine, so participants as well as spectators are advised to dress accordingly.
