Free festivities for this year’s 4th of July Celebration will take place on the Manassas Museum lawn, in the Harris Pavilion, at the Train Depot and around the Manassas Visitor’s Center.
From 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm, the Harris Pavilion will hold contests. The bicycle decorating will start things off. That will be followed by bubblegum blowing and watermelon eating.
At 4:00 pm novelty vendors will begin selling their Independence Day merchandise and food vendors will be preparing and hawking summer treats in the historic Train Depot parking lot.
The Manassas Museum lawn is always a choice location to see the fireworks and everyone is invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs.
Celebrate America will be July 4th from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm in Historic Downtown Manassas, 9431 West Street. Fireworks will begin at 9:15 pm.
A Summer Block Party will be on the Manassas Museum lawn a couple of weeks later. Talent acts, singers, and comedians are signing up to demonstrate their skills. There will be games, facing painting and bounce houses. Both food and merchandise vendors will be on site, and so will a live DJ.
Outdoor photos taken at events such as these often go to nearby Print shops for duplicates to be sent to family and friends.
Summer Block Party will be July 11 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm at 9101 Prince William Street.
