The three-day event will feature juried nature photography exhibits, classes, and lectures covering all facets of photography.

Over 300 award-winning nature photos will be on display and there will be more than 125 Fine Arts prints. Over 20 vendors, both national and local, will be onsite selling photographic equipment and supplies.

Guest speakers on Friday will be National Geographic’s Ralph Lee Hopkins in the morning and Cole Thompson in the afternoon. Amy Gulick, writer and acclaimed nature photographer, will speak Saturday evening.

One-hour lectures, multiple interactive workshops (flower, bird, fundamentals, drones), 90-minute lectures, photo editing software instruction, beginner photographer one-hour session and photographic portfolio reviews sessions will be the types of training to be presented during the event.

There will be an outdoor Raptor photo shoot on Saturday morning followed by a hands-on workshop on Raptors. A small group discussion on landscapes, wildlife and a Flowers Orchids and Photo shoot is also on the Saturday line up.

Sunday topics will include photographing in dangerous weather, on water, backgrounds, contrast and macro photography. Kristi Odom will be discussing motion in one image.

Students may wish to take their photos to local Print shops to get Copies before entering their images in the 2019 High School Photo Contest.

The Nature Vision Photo Expo will be November 1, 2, and 3 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, 10960 George Mason Circle.
