Manassas has three options for one November Saturday

Manassas residents can organize an upcoming November Saturday and attend three events- recycling fest, pancake breakfast and the Northern Virginia Veterans Parade.

Manassas Recycling Center will be holding its Fall Recycle Fest. This will be a drop-off day for electronics, household hazardous waste and shredding at the Manassas Transfer Station, 8305 Quarry Road. The service will be free and items may be dropped off between 8:00 am and noon. These items will not be accepted any other time.

Either before or after the drop-off, hungry locals can head over to Clifton to the Clifton Presbyterian Church, 12748 Richards Lane, for The Clifton Lions Club Annual Old Fashion Family Pancake Breakfast. The all-you-can-eat breakfast will include bacon, coffee and orange juice along with the pancakes. All proceeds will go to charity.

Adult tickets will be $10 and kid’s tickets for children under 12 years old will be $5. Little ones under 5 years old can eat for free. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 am until 12:30 pm.

At 11:00 am back in Old Town Manassas the 12th Annual Northern Virginia Veterans Parade will step off. The parade will honor all veterans and families especially CPL Bryan Nason, USMC.

Units in a parade like this often get some red, white and blue banner printing done to show their support while introducing themselves to the spectators.

All three events have been scheduled for Saturday, November 6.
