Manassas goes Latino

Manassas will get the opportunity to enjoy a day of Latino music, fun, and dance at the Manassas Latino Festival coming this month. Admission will be free and everyone is invited to attend.

Children will get a chance to whack a piñata, scramble for the treats, bounce in the inflatables, and meet Bingo the Clown.

Adults will get to hear some of the area’s most popular Mariachi bands including Mariachi Los Amigos. Iniciativa Folclorica Costarricense and Morenada Transpeco USA will be performing traditional dances. C.A.N. Centro de Artes de Ninos will be singing, as well as the Candela Mix and Dayan Aldana.

A Zumba routine will take place, and EDGE Trailer Video Games will be on site too.

Over 50 exhibitors and vendors will be participating. Some of these will be BEACON for Adult Literacy, Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic, and the Wholistic Wellness Center. Manassas will be well represented with its police department, Park Community Center, and Symphony Orchestra, while Prince William County will have its Community Services, Human Rights Commission, Environmental Center, County Public Library System, and Forest Park. These organizations will no doubt be handing out information, Flyers and Business Cards.

Some food vendors will be El Chef Latino, Il Bastone Gourmet Foods, La Cocina de Mama, and Taste of the World Restaurant.

The 2018 Manassas Latino Festival will be Sunday, September 23 from noon until 5:30 pm at Harris Pavilion, 9201 Center Street in Old Town Manassas.
