Manassas events to make the most of spring

Spring is here in Manassas, and May events will include an art show and a charity car show.

Festivities will begin right away as the Old Town Manassas Art Show and Craft Spring Fair will have five hours celebrating spring, especially Mother's Day. Talented local artisans will be displaying and vending handmade items such as jewelry, crafts, home decor, pottery, and art. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Admission will be free, and the venue will be pet friendly.

The Old Town Manassas Art Show and Craft Spring Fair will take place rain or shine on Saturday, May 3 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

At the other end of the month, on May 31 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, the Yorkshire Volunteer Fire Department will be holding its 2nd Annual Charity Car Truck and Bike Show. Awards will go to best paint, engine, motorcycle, truck, and car, among other categories. Other activities will be food, music, and moon bounces. Part of the net proceeds will go to the Children's National Hospital.

This Second Annual Charity Car Show will be at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 8006 Centreville Road.

Families that attend spring events like these often take pictures of themselves in their colorful pastel attire. These then go to local Print shops to be added to family Calendars and newsletters.
