Manassas celebrates the 4th

From the Manassas Museum lawn and the nearby parking lot rooftop to Signal Hill Park, Manassas will soon be celebrating our country's independence.

Celebrate America will begin festivities at 3:00 pm on July 4. Thousands of guests are expected to enjoy the Independence Day souvenirs available from local vendors, food concessions, rides for the kids, and caricatures created by a local artist.

Vendors at 4th of July events like this often get red, white, and blue Business Cards to pass out to passers-by, and use paper products featuring embossed and colored U.S. symbols such as the American Eagle.

Guests are advised to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs, and get there early to ensure good viewing locations on the lawn for the fireworks beginning at 9:15 pm.

The event will be in Historic Downtown Manassas on July 4 from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Another good firework viewing location will be on the city's parking garage rooftop. This private picnic will include a DJ, games, drinks, and food. Adult tickets are $100, and kids' tickets are $25. This Stars and Stripes Rooftop Picnic will take place from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm at the Manassas Parking Garage at 9102 Prince William Street.

On Saturday, July 6, Signal Hill Park will have its own celebration with free admission, live music, games, and entertainment for the kids. The park is located at 9300 Signal View Drive.
