Independence Day will be commemorated in Manassas at Celebrate America. Thousands of people are expected to attend.
Kid rides begin at 3 pm and the rest of the activities such as novelty and attraction vendors, food concessions and bicycle decorating, bubble blowing and watermelon eating contests start at 4 pm.
Non-profits will have booths set up as will direct sell consultants and gourmet food vendors. These groups will be passing out information about their goods and services, selling items and some may even have free Promotional Products.
Attendees are advised to bring their blankets and lawn chairs and come early to get good locations on the green in front of the museum. Fireworks will start at 9:15 pm.
Activities will be free and can be found around the Down Town train depot. This includes the Manassas Museum and Harris Pavilion.
The 3rd Annual Celebrate America Rooftop Party, however, will have fees of $25 for children ages 3 to 13 and adult tickets $75. The party will be on the Historic Downtown Manassas parking garage’s top deck. There will be games and rides for the children, a catered buffet, drinks and the best view in town for the fireworks.
Celebrate America will be Thursday, July 4th from 3 pm until 10 pm. The parking garage is located on Prince William Street and the party there will be from 5 pm to 10 pm.
