Many Manassas families and individuals will be starting their 4th of July celebrations by joining other walkers and runners in the Freedom Firecracker 5k & Sparkler 1-mile runs.
Registration for the timed 5k is $42.50 until June 16th, when it will go up to $45, and $17.50 until June 16 for the Sparkler 1-mile walk/run before it goes up to $20.
Swag for both races will be white custom race T-Shirts featuring an American eagle graphic design, race bibs, finisher medals, and digital finisher’s certificates. Complimentary red, white, and blue tattoos will be passed out during packet pickup.
Awards of $75, $50, and $25 Running Store gift cards will go to the top three overall women and men finishers, and $15, $10, and $5 Gift Certificates will go to the top three female and male finishers in each of 10 age categories.
Race participants and their families are invited to have their pictures taken at the photo booth featuring a fireworks backdrop. Many families that get photos like this often take the pictures to local Print shops to be added to the family’s yearly Calendars or newsletters.
Participation packets will be available at the race venue beginning at 7:00 am on race day.
Freedom Firecracker 5k (beginning at 8:30 am) and Sparkler 1-Mile (beginning at 9:30 am) will take place Tuesday, July 4 at the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center, 9100 Freedom Center Boulevard.
