Local concert hall to present evening dedicated to Scotlands military bands

The Pipes, Drums and Highland Dancers of the Scots Guards and the Band of the Royal Marines will be presenting a performance that will be in the elegance and pomp associated with the long history of the British military tradition.

The family-friendly evening will be replete with the sounds of brass and bagpipes, along with visuals of authentic Scottish Highland dances.

One band, the Band of the Royal Marines, has been a part of the British navy for more than 250 years. Another band that will be performing for the audience will be the Band of the Scots Guards, which has entertained British troops for 300 years. This band not only tours throughout the year, but performs daily at the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.

Children and adults alike will want to remember the occasion, so parents may decide to bring cameras in order to capture all the color and pageantry for possible future poster printing, or maybe even personalized Stationery printing.

The event is scheduled for tomorrow, January 24, 4:00 pm in Merchant Hall at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, 10960 George Mason Drive, Manassas. There is no need to buy tickets ahead of time because this particular venue has more than 1,000 seats, all of which should ensure a good view.
