Manassas Museum is still planning to host its annual Kidsfest Spring Fair in mid-May to celebrate International Kids Day.
Exhibitors from around the region will offer products, services and information about children and their needs. Arts and crafts vendors will also be on site selling their creations. Many parents that attend these events collect Business Cards from those exhibitors they especially like, helping them find the vendor after the event is over.
The Manassas Museum Lawn will be teeming with kids enjoying activities such as inflatables, moon bounces, carnival games, entertainment, interactive activities, art and crafts. Although admission will be free, £20 all day passes will be required for the moon bounces and inflatables.
The venue will have food and desserts for purchase and live music.
Kidsfest will be Saturday, May 16 from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm at the City of Manassas Museum Lawn, 9101 Prince William Street.
On May 31st, at 1:30 pm, the museum will be holding a kids’ book talk. Author Ed Ehlers will bring Max and Tucker, his therapy dogs, to help him discuss his book Deer, Oh! Deer: a Max and Tucker Adventure. This is a true story of rescuing a deer in a wood near Manassas.
In light of the COVID-19 situation, it would be wise to check with the organizers before attending to verify that the event is still going to take place.
