Christmas time in Manassas would not be the same without the Manassas Ballet Theatre’s production of “The Nutcracker” ballet and performances of “A Christmas Carol” at Prince William Little Theater.
Manassas Ballet’s international dancers, along with the Manassas Ballet Theatre Orchestra, will bring Clara and her Nutcracker prince to life in a colorful, artful presentation of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker.” Eight performances are scheduled between Friday, December 16 through Thursday, December 23. Tickets for the in-person performances are $35.
For those viewing online, Cast A will start streaming on Christmas Eve at 7:30 pm, and Cast B will begin its streaming on Christmas Day at 2:00 pm. Streaming access is $25 and can be purchased for 30 days on the website.
“The Nutcracker” ballet will be at Merchant Hall, Hylton Performing Arts Center at George Mason University, 10960 George Mason Circle.
Meanwhile in the Prince William Little Theater within the Gregory Family Theater, the touring version adaptation of Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol” will be presented by 10 local actors, most of whom will be playing multiple roles. The audience will be asked to participate after the show in a sing-along with the theater’s Choral Christmas Card.
