Fairfax celebrates season and creativity

A mid-April event is bringing a seasonal celebration and artistic displays to Fairfax.

The Mosaic Art Blooms Festival is an event from Mosaic, as a companion celebration to the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Both are held to honor the spring season’s arrival.

The event has the URBNMarket, which showcases a number of vintage sellers and artisan crafters, a collection of FRESHFARM food producers, seasonally themed photo ops, a drink experience from several local establishments, and music from live performers.

The festival is located in Fairfax’s Mosaic District. Guests of any age are welcome to participate in the festivities. While exploring the event, attendees are also able to visit the surrounding shops in the area. The outdoor festival provides a social and open atmosphere, allowing everyone to take in the weather and mingle with their fellow area residents. For the drink tastings, participating guests must be 21 or older.

Many events like this feature small and local businesses. These brands will often pay for services from a company which specializes in business card printing so that their information is readily available for customers. Attending the event is free. For those using the Metro Service, shuttle transport to the festival is available from Dunn Loring Station. Activities will be taking place from 11:00am to 6:00pm on both April 11th and April 12th.
