Over 350 artisans will feature their unique gifts and crafts at the upcoming Sugarloaf Crafts Festival taking place in Chantilly. The crafters come from across the country to participate.
Master craftsman along with talented artists will join the activities at the annual festival, sharing their histories and experiences as they promote their special creations. Contemporary crafts and fine art is the focus of this event.
Application is a juried process, with each being judged on the basis of quality of design, materials, and workmanship. The Sugarloaf Craft Festival has been consistently rated in the top 10 craft festivals in the country.
Items such as jewelry, art, home goods and décor, fashion, and photography, can be expected to be available. Flyer printing is a useful tool for participants in promoting their crafts, and Print shops can provide any quantity needed.
To add to the fun, food exhibitors will offer culinary treats to sample and purchase. An interactive puppet theater adds activities for children along with live art demonstrations. Crafters will show how they turn wood, straw, glass and other materials into beautiful finished products. Janet Spahr will provide easy listening music.
The Sugarloaf Crafts Festival will be held at Dulles Expo Center in the Chantilly Shopping Center in early December. Tickets are $8 online, $10 at the door. Children under 12 are free. Ample parking is available at no charge.
