Businesses in the Chantilly area are invited to attend a Corporate Social Responsibility and Volunteer Fair this spring.
Northwest Federal Credit Union, the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, the Dulles Area Transportation Association, and several chambers of commerce are working together to host the event. Phyllis Randall, the Loudon County Chair, and Natalie Nguygen-Woodruff, Partnerships and Community Engagement director for Fairfax County, will begin the event with a talk about how corporate volunteer programs can benefit businesses.
More than 30 nonprofits will have representatives available to talk with business leaders about partnership opportunities and company volunteer days. Light refreshments will be served, and attendees can enter raffles. Company and nonprofit representatives often exchange Business Cards at this type of event.
The event organizers believe strongly in the benefits of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. CSR initiatives can bring in more revenue, keep employees engaged, strengthen brand identity, attract the best employees, and support and connect with the community.
The fair is free to attend, but those planning to participate are encouraged to sign up through Eventbrite. Individuals looking for volunteer opportunities are also welcome to attend to meet with the nonprofit representatives.
The 2024 Corporate Social Responsibility Fair will take place on Wednesday, April 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm under the tent at the Northwest Federal Credit Union in Herndon.
