Valentines feted with food and dance
Orem couples can celebrate their love by attending two Valentine dances next month.
First up, Thanksgiving Point will be featuring a couple of Valentine Dinner Dances. After a three-course dinner, guests may spend the rest of their evening dancing to live music by the Jefferson Tuke Quartet.
Valentine Dinner Dances will be Saturday and Tuesday, February 11 and 14 at Thanksgiving Point, 3003 N Thanksgiving Way, Lehi. Doors will open at 6:00 pm, dinner will be at 7:00 pm, and dancing will last from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm. Admission will be $80 per person.
Another option will be the Roses Are Red Masquerade Ball. Guests are encouraged to don their finest regency garb and head out for an evening of dancing, music, savory hors d-oeuvres, and mocktails. There will be a lock-and-key quest and live music by a live string quartet. At the end of the evening, a DJ will turn the event into a dance party. Tickets range from $30 to $75 for the VIP treatment.
Couples wishing to remember special Valentine’s Days, often take pictures during the occasion. These may go to nearby print shops to be included in yearly family newsletters.
The Ball will be Saturday, February 18 from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm at the Historic Utah Courthouse, which is at 51 S University Avenue in Provo.
