UVU has academic performances during November

Orem-based Utah Valley University (UVU) will be hosting music, dance and theatre in-person and virtual events during November.

The UVU Chamber Orchestra will have its fall concert November 10 at the Noorda Center for the Performing Arts concert hall, 800 West University Parkway beginning at 7:00 pm. The program will consist of Divertimento by Mozart, Serenade for Strings by Tchaikovsky, and works from Polish composer Orawa Killar.

The Jazz Orchestra Fall Concert will take place at November 12 at the concert hall. This will be an evening of big band and jazz favorites. The curtain goes up at 7:00 pm and the program will last until midnight.

School of Arts Synergy Dance in Concert will present “Momentum” on November 12, 13, and 14 at 7:30 pm. This will be the school’s annual showcase of student choreography, including duets, solos, and small group work. Guest artists Brett Easterling, Doris Trujillo, and Katie Taylor will present their two works for Dance for Film. This event will take place at the School of the Arts Smith Theater.

The UVU Theater is going online for its upcoming “Make Room For Magic: A Charmed Cabaret,” also on November 12, 13, and 14. This will an intimate evening with old favorite show tunes interspersed with some newer pieces. Those interested must purchase tickets for a specific date and time, and the link will then be emailed to them.
