University to host preparedness expo

Orem locals are preparing for Utah Valley University to presenting the ‘Do It Now Expo’ early next month, focusing on freedom, and preparedness. Event organizers are expecting 4,000 to 5,000 attendees.

Over 50 speakers will be addressing such topics as plants for natural healing, health, freedom and self-reliance, homeopathy, government, education and preparedness, first aid and safety, and emergency management. Other topics will cover pain elimination techniques, bio-energy therapies, freeze drying, and survival.

Also everyone can get free Footzones, which therapies that direct pressure to several parts of the foot. It is a holistic approach that stimulates all the body’s organs and renews the cell system. Expo goers will also have the opportunity to enjoy multiple energy modalities, such as touch therapies or healing techniques such as Reiki. Attendees can also get discounts on preparedness products and food storage items.

Vendors will be selling related items, such as cold weather gear, emergency shelters, and therapy oils. It should be a good event to exchange digital business cards, and musical performances will be held throughout the event.

The expo will host over 100 classes focusing on such topics as disaster survival, emergency and food storage, alternative healthcare, survival skills, and the latest gardening techniques.

The expo will be held Thursday through Saturday, October 9, 10, and 11, at UVU, 800 W. University Parkway, Orem.
