Talent competition on its way to town
Orem music lovers, and those from the surrounding area, are invited to attend this year’s Stadium of Fire Talent Competition.
As in past years, it promises to be a lively event, with music from some of the most exciting young talent in the state.
Stadium of Fire is an event held every year at Brigham Young University in Provo, as part of America’s Freedom Festival. The talent competition portion of the festival is held here in Provo, and if year’s past are any indication, attendees may be witnessing the birth of a new star.
This year’s host will be Alex Boye, and after the competition, the group We are the Strike (a former competitor) will play for the crowd. Past competitors have included Imagine Dragons, Amy Whitcome (who was on ‘The Voice’), and Ryan Innes.
The contest is arranged as a family event. Everyone in attendance will get a chance to vote for their favorite act. Families of those competing may wish to have banner printing done to support their loved one. In addition to the publicity it generates, the winner will appear at the Stadium of Fire Festival.
The competition will be held May 23 at the SCERA Shell at 701 South State Street, Orem, starting at 7:30 pm. The price of admission will be $4 per person.
