The 2nd Annual Utah Valley University’s Sustainability Summit will take place in mid-April.
This will be a free gathering of campus community and Utah County leaders discussing sustainability initiatives in areas such as transportation, air quality, energy, water, recreation, and economy.
From 8:30 am to 9:00 am, breakfast refreshments will be served. UVU President Astrid S. Tumnez will give welcoming remarks at 9:00 am, and she will be followed by keynote speaker Danielle Rourke from Dell Technologies.
The event will break into two sessions at 10:00 am. Track A will discuss Academics and Research, while Track B will be an interactive session concerning citizen sustainability Government Opportunities in Lehi, Orem, and Provo.
At 11:00 am, Track A attendees will learn about opportunities to get involved at UVU, while Track B will be about sustainability in business. Track B will have experts from the Utah Sustainable Business Coalition, Adobe, Banqu, and Dell discussing building business using a stakeholder framework, and integrating sustainability into employee mindsets and core operations.
From noon until 1:30 pm, guests will be treated to a campus sustainability tour.
After the tour, guests may intermingle and get some networking done. People that attend these summits often bring current Business Cards and exchange them with other like-minded attendees.
The summit will take place Wednesday, April 12 from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Scott C. Keller Business Building, UVU, 800 West University Parkway # 101 E.
