Orem starts the winter season with snow sports on the big screen
Orem thrill-seekers and snow sports enthusiasts will not want to miss the upcoming Warren Miller Entertainment’s 66th annual snow sports film, titled ‘Chasing Shadows’.
In the film, 26 master skiers and snowboarders brave mountain peaks in such regions as the Himalayas, Utah’s Wasatch, and Alaska’s Chugach.
Some top names in the business, such as Steven Nyman, JT Holmes, and Caroline Gleich are among the athletes who will be featured in the film. They will be chasing snow, storms, and lines. The U.S. freestyle team will be featuring powsurfing, monoskiing, and speed riding.
Ticket holders will receive a free swag coupon at the show. Other freebies include two-for-one lift tickets to Snowbird, free ski passes to Solitude Mountain Resort and Powder Mountain, and a free ski and ride at Steamboat. Some restrictions may apply.
The Warren Miller Street Team, a group of dedicated Warren Miller fans, will be distributing flyers in malls and other high-traffic areas. The promotional department has no down consulted a poster printing company and will send posters to the team members to place in store windows in a grassroots effort to get the word out.
The film will be shown at the XanGo Grand Theatre at SCERA at 745 South State Street, Orem, from October 20 through October 22, running from 7:30 pm until 9:30 pm each day. Tickets can be purchased the night of the show at the SCERA box office, or online at Eventbrite.
