Orem sees tigers, elephants, and poodles
The Jordan World Circus will be presenting three performances here in Orem in a couple of weeks.
Circuses such as this one have been poster printing for hundreds of years, and the three-ring traveling event offers affordable entertainment for the whole family.
Some animal acts that may be included in the program will be Georgio Poodles Review, where six standard poodles are put through their routine by trainer Georgio and son; The Kyrgyzbala Cossack Riders will be on horseback; Adam Burck will be showing his tigers; elephants will be under the direction of Larry Carden; and a baby elephant will be seen frolicking with its keeper Matryoshka.
People acts include the circus show girls performing on rings suspended 25 feet in the air, aerial acts with girls on ropes, and Elena Konstantina and her magical transformation. The Dominguez Brothers ride cycles in the death-defying confines of a giant steel ball.
Children can meet, pet and ride some of the animals before the show starts.
Tickets range from $9 individual tickets to $30 family packs. They can be purchased either online or at the event. Some free tickets are being handed out at local schools.
The Jordan World Circus will be in Orem at the UCCU Center, 800 West University Parkway on January 22nd, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, and January 23rd at 4:00 pm and 7:30 pm.
