Orem remembers charities during holiday season
Orem charities will not be forgotten around the holidays this year.
On November 29, 30, and December 1, individuals can retrieve an ornament from the Giving Tree located next to RC Willey. The ornament will have the name of an individual needing help with the holiday season. Unwrapped presents must be returned before or on December 14 from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm at University Place, 575 E. University Pkwy.
SCERA Youth Theatre will present ‘One Magic Christmas’. This will be a holiday music revue featuring over 200 teens and children that in the SCERA Youth Theatre program. Proceeds from the event will go to the program. The shows will be at the SCERA Center for the Performing Arts 745 State Street December 7 at 10:00 am and again at 11:30 am.
Orem Auto Market is holding a Christmas Light Lot Fundraiser on December 21. Owners buy parking slots for $20 each. Then they bring their cars and trucks, classic or new, decorated for the season. The grand prize winner will get $200.
The venue will hold a BBQ and hot cocoa will be free. All proceeds from the event will go to purchasing presents for the children presently in the Utah Foster Care System. The event will be at Orem Auto Market, 798 W 400 N, and it runs from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
Supporters of events such as these sometimes get some flyer printing done so they can get the information out.
