Mountain biking enthusiasts looking to take their passion and start a new career are in luck, as an immersive learning experience is being planned in Orem.
The On The Bike 201 Workshop for NICA Coaches in Utah will open registration next month to allow interested parties to improve their mountain biking skills and discover new career paths. The event is open to people who have previously completed the On The Bike 101 Workshop before enrolling in the more advanced session.
Attendees will learn how to provide progressive steps to athletes to teach advanced and beginner mountain biking for a safe and enriching experience. Instructors will help students reinforce effective teaching and coaching methods, offering coaches practice opportunities to hone those skills, and use a creative practice plan to help the athletes develop. Poster printing is an eye-catching way to promote such events with a combination of imagery and information via text.
Students in the course will want to bring a maintained mountain bike, helmet, flat pedals and shoes, an extra layer, and sunglasses. Snacks and water are also encouraged, as the workshop will last five hours and be held outdoors.
The workshop will be held at 200 950 E in East Orem on Saturday, May 24th, from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Registration costs $40 per student and spots are limited.
