Orem library goes online
The Orem library has made quite a selection of resources available online free to those who have membership.
Children events from daily and weekly story times and live puppet performances, to International and Timpanogos Storytelling festivals are available.
eBooks are available for kids from websites such as Explora eBooks and resources, Junior Library Build, Abdo eBooks, and Tumblebooks K-12 Library and Math. There are also teen online resources such as Manga, Tutor.com, Code Break, and Learning Express Test Prep.
For Orem kids interested in the STEM program, the library offers online Dyson Engineering Challenges such as a balloon car race, spaghetti bridges, cardboard chair, and boat construction.
Free eBooks for adults, author readings, art, writing, culture classes, and Survival School, MIT, and Ivy League University courses are also available.
Online users can aquariums via webcam, such as Monterey Bay, National, Aquarium of the Pacific, and zoos like Houston, San Diego and the Smithsonian National Zoo. The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden airs live events daily at 1:00 pm. Virtual museum, National Park, and library tours are also available.
To keep everyone in Orem fit, free yoga classes are available, as is a Facebook-streamed Planet Fitness program.
