Orem keeps children strong and prepared with two events
The City of Orem Government is keeping the welfare of our children in mind as it presents two events in the coming days.
Everyday Strong Training will be on Wednesday, September 25 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Orem High School. The free program will teach resiliency skills designed for kids to cope in today’s world. The training in the Little Theater will be presented in Spanish, and the Auditorium training session will be in English.
The City of Orem Government and Orem Community Hospital will present the 2019 Orem Harvest & Preparedness Festival. The event will focus on community and citizen preparedness.
Hospital, Police, Fire and the city’s Emergency Preparedness Team will be manning onsite booths passing out business cards and resource materials while discussing ways to cope with unexpected emergencies.
The popular petting zoo and horse carousel will be available for the children. A final tribute concert will be given for for Li’l Sebastian, the famous mini-horse from TV’s Parks and Recreation. Li’l Sabastian fans can actually buy merchandise featuring the horse’s logo design. Fans may want to wear these promotional products when they get photos taken with the little guy before the performance.
Local vendors and food trucks will be selling merchandise and fall treats.
The 2019 Orem Harvest & Preparedness Festival will take place next Monday, September 30th from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Intermountain Orem Community Hospital, 331 N. 400 W.
