Orem goes to Spring Festival
Provo will be having its Spring Festival in a couple of weeks. This year’s focus will be on art, and over 4,000 people are expected to attend.
A total of 20 local and regional artists, some from here in Orem, will be manning booths, displaying, and selling their works. Many will have flyers and brochures of information with their addresses, phone, numbers and hours they will be available for anyone who may want to buy from them at a later date. The venue will have art installments and demos, with plant nurseries, bike shops, and yoga a few of the booths to look for.
An art competition will have 10 preselected sculptures. Judges will be looking for originality, artistic composition, creativity, and overall impression. The winner will receive $300.
No need to bring food as there will be plenty of food trucks. Live music will add ambience to the occasion. There will be adventure sports such as a rope course for the brave ones and animals like puppies for the rest of us.
Free water bottles will be handed out, and guests are encouraged to collect stickers to decorate them. Vendors will be giving out freebies, conducting classes, and having passers-by try out their products.
