Orem goes cycling
The City of Orem and 11 cycling-related businesses and organizations are partnering to bring the first Orem Cyclefest to our community. The event will be dedicated all kinds of cycling, including road and mountain cycling, here in Utah Valley.
The City of Orem will provide a continental breakfast to start the event, which will be followed by a ride with the Mayor Brunst.
Cyclefest Expo will run from morning to early afternoon. Many local businesses have been donating items such as bicycle tune ups from Fezzari for the drawing. The Provo Bicycle Collective and Cyclefest have teamed up to give away around 50 kids’ bikes. Orem Youth Cycling will be offering free bike valet service in the parking area. Food trucks such as Falafel Tree will be selling treats.
Local bicycle-related vendors and businesses such as Infuze Hydration will be on site passing out business cards as they display and sell their goods and services. JigaWatt Cycles and Scooter Lounge will be offering Pedal Assist eBike demos.
Other educational booths, as well as mini seminars from the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, and Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, will be set up at the site. Mountain bicycle and road cycling demonstrations will take place on the foothill trails and the Provo River trail.
