Orem celebrates on New Years Eve
One of the biggest New Year’s Eve parties in Utah Valley will be the one that Vivint & Uprising will be presenting, called ‘Leave Normal Behind’. About 5000 people are expected to attend.
The party will have two dance areas – each with a different theme. One area will have Top Dance Hits, the Best of 2016, and Hip Hop. Justin Reid and Marcus Wing will be the entertainers. The other dance area will be for country dancing. Music will be ‘All the Best Country’, and dancing will be line dancing. The bands may be bringing some promotional products for their fans.
When not on the dance floor, guests can scale the rock climbing wall, bounce in the inflatables and get snacks at the food trucks. The evening will be rife with toss-outs, giveaways and raffles.
Another option will be the ‘Cheers to the New Year’ dance, the long running New Year’s Eve Community Dance. Dancing to the music of the Al Hulsh Band will begin at 9:00 pm and continue until midnight.
The fun at the ‘Leave Normal Behind’ event begins at 8:00 pm on December 31, at the Utah Community Credit Union Event Center, 800 W. University Parkway here in Orem. Things will wind down around 12:10 am.
