Orem area to eat food or throw it
As part of this year’s Pioneer Day, Lehi will be hosting its annual Jigglefest - a gigantic food fight with Jello flying everywhere.
Both adults and kids of all ages are invited to join in the fun. The event has slated six “fights” and water sprinklers will be running after each one. Pictures taken during the fights can go to local printers for poster printing.
Other attractions going on between the altercations will be obstacle courses, bounce houses, and water slides.
For those not wishing to participate in the skirmish, there will be a Utah Foods Cook-Off. Categories will include Dutch Oven Fare, Fry Sauces, Jell-O dishes and funeral potatoes. A panel of three judges will sample the judging dish and the other dish will be presented to the public. Winners in each category will receive $220 family passes to the park.
Competition will be tough as along with Orem individuals, participants can be teams, professional chefs, cooks, and sponsor employees, and fest promotional and advertising agencies.
Food and merchandise vendors will also be onsite.
Jigglefest will be at Thanksgiving Point, 3003 N. Thanksgiving Way, Lehi on July 21st from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. Fights will be on the hour starting at 10:30 am with the last one at 3:30 pm. Entries for the Cook-off need to be at the event by 10:00 am. Winners for the cook-off will be announced at 11:00 am.
