Later this month, country music fans in the area can sit back and relax as the Orem Summer Concerts in the Park will be presenting The Shane Lee Band. The group is composed of local musicians who have been performing live concerts over the last 15 years.
A native of Lehi, lead vocalist Shane Lee will be on lead guitar, piano, and bass, Jennifer Lee will take up vocal and bass duty, John Jay Harris will feature on vocals and drums, and Matt Nagel will provide guitar and fiddle. Shane has been performing for over 25 years—at 13 he was playing drums in his father’s band and by 15 was playing lead guitar
The Orem Public Library has been hosting concerts to highlight local talent every Monday and Saturday evenings since June 16, when it presented Blue Grass Thunder. Along with the Shane Lee Band, this month’s performances include One Voice Children’s Choir, New Time Ensemble, and Saturday Night Sampler, the latter of which is a collection of 20-minute sets of local talent. The last performance will be at the end of this month, when the Orem High Jazz Band will be performing. To help advertise the event, those involved may wish to consult brochure printers.
The Shane Lee Band concert will be held at Orem City Center Park Stage on Monday, July 21, beginning at 7:00 pm.
