Holiday season continues at University Place
University Place continues to bring the holiday spirit to Orem with Christmas lights and Santa Village, and the fun continues in 2023 with Chinese New Year.
Kids are flocking to see Santa in his Woodland Chalet located near Hallmark Gold Crown in the shopping center’s west wing. Special treats will be handed out. Camera Shy Photography will be taking pictures and offering both print and digital packaging. Santa is available from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm today and tomorrow, 10:00 am to 9:00 pm from December 19 through 23, and on Christmas Eve from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Orchard and surrounding area are still displaying University Place’s annual Christmas Lights. They include 75 feet of archways, neon-lit trees, a 30-foot tree that guests may walk through, and the University Place logo. The display is free and open from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm until December 31.
Still celebrating on into the new year, the venue will have a Chinese New Year Lion Dance and Fireworks on Saturday, January 29. Parades celebrating the Year of the Tiger will begin at RC Willey and proceed on to Dillard’s at noon, 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm. Fireworks will be set skyward from the UP campus’s north side after the last parade.
Stationery printers often get photos of the Chinese New Year dances because they make for colorful front covers for notecard sets and greeting cards.
