Outdoor enthusiasts and thrill seekers will want to be available next month, as a canyoning skills course is set to bring new knowledge to the region.
The Beginning Canyoning Skills Workshop, led by Rebecca and Austin Haacke, will start in a few weeks. It will offer outdoor enthusiasts an opportunity to learn the basic skills necessary for a new hobby. Both instructors have extensive canyoning experience and work as instructors at the University of Utah.
The course will focus on several skills, including tying knots, constructing anchors, and creating rigging systems to ensure a safe and adventurous experience. Registered guests will also learn the tips and insights necessary to begin rappelling. Tips for buddy Checks and passing the knot can help guests enjoy a safe adventure. Brochure printing is a fantastic way to share information at learning workshops like this.
To earn certification, registered guests must complete both the in-person learning sessions and the online courses. The hands-on learning experiences will be held outdoors, and participants should check the weather and wear appropriate clothing for comfort and safety. Refunds are available for unsatisfied attendees.
The outdoor workshop will occur in Orem, Utah, on Saturday, August 17th, beginning at 8:00 AM. The course will continue on Sunday, August 18th, ending at 5:00 PM. Interested parties can register online, and tickets cost $169 per attendee.
