San Antonio welcomes a Pearl of a boutique

A new boutique featuring children's clothing opened in the Pearl in San Antonio on November 7.

Roo & Me, a clothing store owned by Tessa Guerra, a San Antonio native, moved into a 1,200 square foot space in the trendy shopping area. According to a statement from the store, Roo & Me sells cloths for both children and adults, though it focuses on youngsters. The store aims to offer a wide variety of items designed to help children realize their individuality.

The relocation offers an opportunity for jobseekers, since Guerra plans to add two new employees to the staff of the new location.

The unusual name of the store, Roo & Me, comes for Guerra's cat. Guerra and her family rescued a kitten that had been hit by a car, and the animal recovered to become Guerra's constant companion. Roo's courage inspired Guerra to trust herself, and open a store offering merchandise that displays her ability and creativity.

Roo & Me is moving to 302 Pearl Parkway. Pearl is an entertainment, dining, and shopping destination along the San Antonio River. Constantly growing and evolving, it is one of the main retail spot for San Antonio residents to visit.

Guerra could work with Stationery printers to create new, colorful Letterheads for the company that reflects its new location.
