San Antonio to host bonsai convention

The 2020 Texas Bonsai Convention is scheduled to take place in San Antonio this summer.

Jointly hosted by The Lone Star Bonsai Foundation (LSBF) and the San Antonio Bonsai Society (SABS), this four-day event will feature experienced artists including Boon Manakitivipart, Tyler Sherrod, Roy Nagatoshi, and Joura.

Throughout the event, there will be thirteen vendors, five raffles, exhibits, live demonstrations and workshops. Bonsais that will be included in the event are maples, junipers, vitexes, and podocarps. Organizers of conventions frequently use professional brochure printing to create detailed descriptions of their events for those who will be attending.

Individuals who want to register for all four days of the convention can purchase tickets online for $140 per person. Alternatively, those who wish to attend only one day of the event can purchase a ticket for $75 or $115 for two days.

Fees for attending most of the 18 available workshops range from $45 to $230. Each workshop centers on certain types of bonsai or levels of progression. One of these workshops is targeted toward children between ages 5 to 17 and costs $15 per person. All event participants may register for the exhibits for free.

The 2020 Texas Bonsai Convention is set to be held at the Drury Plaza Hotel San Antonio from Thursday, August 6 to Sunday, August 9.
