Residents of San Antonio will have a chance to learn from an expert on traveling solo.
Laurie McDonald, who writes under the penname Eva Rome, will be visiting The Twig book shop signing Travel for STOICs.
Travel for STOICs: Empowering the Solo Traveler Who is Obsessive, Introverted, and Compulsive is exactly what it says it is. This book is a combination travel guide and survival guide for solo travelers, and gives advice for dealing with stress and unexpected road blocks that often come up during trips and can disrupt plans.
McDonald will be at the book store signing, as well as giving a selected reading from the book. She is a writer with a range of experience, including short stories, poems, novels, magazine articles, and screenplays. Alongside her writing, she has also taught and served as a guest lecturer at a number of institutions, including Dom Kultury in Warsaw, the Rhode Island School of Design, and Brown University.
The Twig book shop is located on Pearl Parkway. For those driving, there is street parking in the area, and a parking lot nearby.
