San Antonio runs from urban legends

The Urban Legend Night Run returns to San Antonio this year, giving runners and walkers a unique thrill as they take on the 5K course.

The course will start at the Victory Sports Park and wind across railroad tracks and past local landmarks, where a variety of “monsters” will be spread out and waiting for participants. The demons include well-known ones such as Slenderman, and those hanging around local attractions like the haunted railroad tracks.

The race packet includes a T-shirt, which can be selected in adult sizes, women, or youth. Packets will only be available for pickup starting three hours before the race. Registration is currently open, and is currently $40 per adult or $20 for kids 18 and younger. Day-of registration will be $45.

Attendees are encouraged to race as part of a group. The cross country team from the local high school will form teams, and the largest team will receive a $500 donation. The proceeds from the race will go towards the SA Eagles Athletics Club.

Events of this type often use printing services, and may have a banner or poster up near the start or finish. There will also be vendors, likely at the end of the race, who may have Business Cards with them or other printed materials.

This race will start at 9:00 pm this Saturday, July 27.
