San Antonio hotel hosts celebration over 70 years of service

The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa will be hosting the JBSA (Joint Base San Antonio) Air Force Ball 2018 this month.

The Ball will be in celebration of San Antonio’s 300th and the Air Force’s 71st birthday. The theme will be marking ‘Military City U.S.A.: San Antonio Tricentennial’ at the Hyatt Regency, which is located off of Highway 151.

Known today for its distinctive gold and ultramarine Logo Design, the US Air Force credits its beginnings to the time at which Wright brothers invented the first successful aircraft followed by the great innovation for aircraft at the turn of the 20th Century. However, it did not become its own branch until 1947, just after WW2 ended, having originally been called the Army Air Corps.

The event will be held on September 28.The social hour starts at 6:00 pm (1800 military time) and will include a dinner. The dance will follow at 7:00 pm (1900 military time) and ends at 11:00 pm.
Tickets are $40-$80 depending on which Tier the customer decides to get on, and groups can go through a special registration on Eventbrite. Refunds can be made up to seven days before the event. Those planning to stay a room overnight at the Hyatt Regency can contact 2nd Lt Kate Morgan at katlin.morgan@us.af.mil. Rooms are limited, and formal wear is required.
