San Antonio honors cultural diversity

The Institute of Texan Cultures will this year be hosting the 48th Texas Folklife Festival in San Antonio. More than 40 cultural groups will be represented at the festival, giving attendees a chance to enjoy new experiences.

There will be food available at the event from the different cultures. Food coupons are available at booths throughout the event space for $1 each, and can be purchased with cash or card. These are valid only at the food stalls, and prices vary per stall.

There will be live music and entertainment throughout the event on the different stages. There will also be artisans at the event giving demonstrations and selling their wares. This event is family-friendly, and has hands-on activities as well.

There is no onsite parking available for attendees. However, there are nearby parking lots, and ridesharing or using public transit is encouraged.

This event may use printing services in order to have printed maps, information, guides, or price lists available for attendees. Tickets are currently available for $12, with children age 6 to 12 being $5, and under six are free. At the gate, the general admission price will increase to $15.

The festival is scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 7 through 9. It will be open Friday from 5:00 to 11:00 pm, Saturday from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm, and Sunday from noon to 7:00 pm.
