Nostalgic acts to come together in San Antonio

A group of several bands, duos, and singers are hitting the road together. Their tour will be making a stop in San Antonio in late May.

The Mixtape Tour is headlined by the boyband New Kids On The Block. Formed in the 1980s, the group currently consists of Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight, and Danny Wood. Former members include Jamie Kelley and Donnie’s brother Mark Wahlberg. Songs such as “You Got It (The Right Stuff)”, and “Block Party” helped the great become and remain popular among fans for decades.

Other acts on the tour include Salt-N-Pepa, Rick Astley, and En Vogue. The former are known for hits including “Push It”, “Shoop”, and “Whatta Man”. Astley is most famous for his song “Never Gonna Give You Up,” often a part of the “Rick Roll” internet meme. En Vogue has tracks like “Free Your Mind”, “Hold On”, and “Too Gone, Too Long” under their belts. In 2022, all these recording artists joined forces to release the record “Bring Back The Time.”

Tickets cost between $34.95 and $876, with some higher prices being resale tickets. A VIP experience with En Vogue is available for $239 or $240, depending on if it is an upgrade or it includes a ticket. This includes a photo, meet and greet, laminate, shirt with a unique graphic design, and an exclusive piece of merchandise. The other acts will also have merchandise for sale.

The show at the AT&T Center will begin at 8:00 pm on May 21.
