Two iconic rock bands are teaming up to headline a tour, with a show in San Antonio booked for next month.
Def Leppard includes Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, Rick Savage, Rick Allen, and Vivian Campbell. Steve Clark was a part of the band as well until his death in 1991. The group has maintained a huge level of success since the start, with the release of their catalog onto streaming platforms in 2018 seeing them climb the charts for a second time. Amongst the award-winning catalog are tracks like “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” “Rock Of Ages,” “Foolin’,” “Fire It Up,” and “Rocket.”
Journey’s members are Neal Schon, Arnel Pineda, and Jonathan Cain. Schon is the last of the original lineup to still be in the group. The band’s sound and showmanship have allowed them to survive several decades of evolution in the industry. Like their tour partners, Journey has been recognised countless times by the music world with awards/special honors. Among their catalog are iconic tunes like “Any Way You Want It,” “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Faithfully,” “Open Arms,” and “Only the Young.”
The Summer Stadium Tour will also feature support from Steve Miller Band. Tickets, including VIP offerings, are $49.50 - $1,747.75 via Ticketmaster at the time of writing. Many bands sell merchandise with a graphic design relating to their work at concert events. The show at the Alamodome kicks off at 6:00pm on August 16th.
