Healthcare IT company CaptureRX, which now serves over 500 health centers and hospitals, and 2,700 pharmacies in 45 states, is expanding its corporate headquarters and relocating them within San Antonio.
The company will move to the Kress Building, a historic structure on Houston Street in the city's Downtown Tech District.
Chairman of San Antonio's Economic Development Foundation, Wayne Peacock, says CaptureRx's decision to move its headquarters is an example of the success of the city's approach to development, as it increases its presence in the technology sector.
CaptureRx's chairman, Chris Hotchkiss, says that leadership at both the city and state levels factored into the decision. He appreciates the support officials have evidenced for the company's growth, and in addition, he is happy to be moving into an architecturally important building, which is located in an area that is undergoing exciting development.
Ivy R. Taylor, the mayor of San Antonio, was equally excited by CaptureRx's decision, saying the company's choice to stay in the city meant there would now be an innovative, high-paying, and rapidly growing technology company in the city's heart.
CaptureRx received incentives from both Bexar County and the San Antonio City Council, in exchange for which it will be expected to create and maintain a minimum of 314 full-time jobs over a period of six years.
