Franchise to take show through San Antonio

A popular TV show will be bringing a group of its stars to San Antonio in mid-July.

RuPaul’s Drag Race is a competition-style program where drag queens compete for the crown through a series of challenges, lip syncs, and runway shows. Starting just over a decade ago with season one airing in 2009, the show has launched spin-offs, international series, and games.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Werq The World Tour is a unique experience starring several performers from the hit series. The attendees will be sent through time after an experiment goes awry, meeting drag queens as they try to get back to the present day. These include the finalists from the most recent season of the show, as well as previous contestants Kameron Michaels, Vanessa Vanjie, Rose, and Yvie Oddly. This line-up is subject to change, and will vary between the different tour dates/cities. Companies involved include VH1, Voss Entertainment, and World of Wonder. Flyer printing is often done in promotion of similar shows.

Tickets range in price from $49.50 to $99.50. The event is open to all ages, although they must all have a ticket. The venue is the Majestic Theatre. Accessing some seats will require the use of a stairway. Guests are asked not to bring pagers or recording devices, or to at least turn them off. The show will kick off at 7:30 pm on July 17.
