Comedy act to take hilarity to San Antonio

San Antonio is getting a dose of fun with a three-day visit from a popular comedian in mid-January.

Michael Yo is a comedian, host, and actor who has become a familiar face in entertainment. On the 15th season of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” Yo found success with unanimous approval from the panel, ultimately seeing his run last through the show’s quarter finals round. Yo also appears on the radio and as a podcast host. As an actor, he has participated in projects such as “The Bling Ring,” “Amber Brown,” “Happy Together,” and “Kevin Can Wait.” Yo’s work has earned him a pair of Emmy Award nominations.

The Do I Lie? Tour is working from the city’s Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club venue for the San Antonio shows. Locals 18 and older will be treated to a quintet of performances, with the latter two dates each including a pair of events. A link to tickets can be found either from Yo’s site or Improv TX.

For each show, the admission will cost the same. For $30, attendees get access to Preferred Tables, which are placed with the best view of the center stage area. A sum of $20 covers a seat at a General Admission Table, which are near the wings and stage sides. Both seating options are “first come, first served, by section.” Flyer printing often gets incorporated in advertising plans for comedy shows.

January 11th has one event at 8:00pm. January 12th has two, one at 7:30pm and the other at 9:45pm. January 13th has the final pair of shows at 7:00pm and 9:30pm.
