Plano locals can take part in a unique nighttime race.
The Firefly Run invites runners, or walkers, to register for a 5K event. Participants can use their imaginations to come up with a creative costume.
With many Firefly Runs taking place across the country, the race in Plano will benefit the Children’s Medical Center, a local healthcare facility.
After the race, there will be a party decorated with all kinds of lights. Attendees can also enjoy entertainment, dancing, and a costume contest. No doubt a banner printing service was asked to create large Signs to welcome participants to the race and after party.
Depending on when individuals sign up, registration for adults costs between $30 and $55. Registrants will be given LED armbands, a glow in the dark medal, a race T-shirt, race bib, and a surprise gift. Registration for kids aged seven and under costs $2.50 and includes a bib and a glow item. For an extra $5, registrants can be chip timed.
Participants should be ready to run on March 28, when packet and race day registration will take place from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm. The race will start at 7:45 pm. Finally, the costume contest will be held at 9:00 pm.
It all takes place at Campus at Legacy, located on 5340 Legacy Drive. For more information, call (512) 850-4300.Get a Free Quote for Signs
