Plano is about to experience a taste of the East Coast, and those who take part will learn how to recreate their recipes in their own home kitchen.
Central Market Cooking School Plano has scheduled a New England Summer Supper, and it will showcase traditional dishes from the region. It will be a hands-on session, and everyone will be invited to join in with taste testing.
The activity is for those aged 18 and up, and anyone who is 21 or older will be able to enjoy a glass of wine. They will be preparing corn and lobster chowder along with a salad featuring fresh tomatoes. A seared skirt steak is on the menu along with potato salad, and the meal will draw to a close with blueberry crisp topped with homemade vanilla ice cream. Everyone who registers is asked to arrive a few minutes early so they can sign the safety waiver before class starts.
Taking part in cookery class gives the public a chance to learn some new skills in a fun and supportive environment. Recipe cards, chef’s hats, aprons, and other products can be ordered for an activity from a printing services company able to supply in-house Logo Design work.
Plano residents who would like to add some New England fare to their cookery repertoire are welcome to register for this session, which is set for Thursday, July 2. The class will begin at 8:30 pm at 320 Coit Road.
